On May 16th, several parents were taken by surprise when they received an unexpected notification from a well known school. The school had suddenly decided to close it’s campus with no prior warning or notice. They were not told when classes would resume or how to settle the remaining lesson fees ranging from a few to tens of thousands of yuan
Reporters found in an interview that the training institution is currently in a “disconnected” state. In a May 16 announcement, the company said: “The company is actively seeking help (new investors or acquiring brands) to provide follow-up courses for parents.”
Notice of closure the night before and a “vacant building” the next day
When a reporter investigated, it became clear that the teaching point of Hefei Bell Robot Programming Center located on the 16th floor of the office building of Baohe Wanda No. 6 was not functioning as it should .The gate was closed and locked, there were no lights inside, and no signs of any activity.
It was learnt that more than 200 parents have come together in a group chat to recover the remaining tuition fees from the educational institute.
According to the official website of Bell Robot Programming Center, the institution was established in 2011, is a direct robot programming education service institution of Bell Hop Control (Shenzhen) Technology Co., Ltd., and currently has opened nearly 20 chain training institutions in more than 200 cities across the country, including Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Xi’an, Chengdu, Hefei, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Wuhan, etc.
