Many places in China recently launched a “Mask for All” campaign.
In Zhejiang Province, for example, Shaoxing, Tongxiang, Jiaxing Pinghu and Haiyan issued reminders on December 9 and 10 calling on people to wear masks.
The notice proposes that employees of key units such as medical institutions, logistics, cold chain food, imported high-risk non-cold chain goods processing, storage, loading and unloading, transportation, business, sales etc must wear masks when at work.
The notice also stipulates that masks must be worn when entering these public places or in the following situations; Medical and health institutions, hospitalization, escort and related business. When taking elevators , in crowded open-air squares, theaters, parks and other outdoor places. When symptoms such as nasopharyngeal discomfort, cough, and fever occur while attending meetings, trainings, exams, and other gathering activities.
Those who do not wear masks, causing the spread of the epidemic or other serious consequences, will be investigated for responsibility in accordance with law.
On the 11th, Jinyun, Pan’an, Lanxi City and Tiantai County in Zhejiang Province also issued notices on carrying out the “All People Wear Masks” action.
Huangshi City, Hubei Province issued the “Proposal on the Universal Wearing of Masks” on the 11th, advocating people to wear masks in public places, reasonable diet, moderate exercise and other healthy lifestyles, and consciously improve health literacy and self-protection capabilities.
