On February 16, netizens released pictures on several platforms
showing that many flights to Shijiazhuang had been diverted or grounded.
In response , Shijiazhuang International Airport confirmed the situation and stated that it’s airspace was occupied by an unidentified flying object between the hours of 11:00am and 1:00pm .
The North China Regional Administration of Civil Aviation explained that the spotted UFO was finally determined to be a balloon.
