According to a press conference held in Beijing on September 10, the Communication University of China, received a notice from the Beijing Chaoyang District Center for Disease Control and Prevention at about 16:10 on the 9th, saying that the school had suspected positive COVID-19 cases. Upon receipt of the notice, the university immediately activated an emergency response and closed the school gates at about 17:00 on that same day.
As of September 9, the school reportedly had 10,227 students and 2,814 faculty members.
After preliminary research, a total of 488 students residing in the same dormitory building as those related to the epidemic, were transferred to a centralized isolation point. They were transported in groups of 25 per vehicle. As of 2.30 a.m. on September 10, 485 students, 19 teachers, and 5 logistic staff had all been transferred.
As of the time of this post, the school has accumulated 7 positive covid-19 cases, and the others have negative results.
