According to the ninth edition of the State Council’s joint prevention and control mechanism, high-, medium-, and low-risk areas are delineated as follows.
1. High-risk areas: Areas where cases and asymptomatic infections live, as well as areas with frequent workplace activities and a high risk of epidemic transmission.
Prevention and control measures: Stay at home, door-to-door service.
Release conditions: If there are no new infections for 7 consecutive days, it will be reduced to a medium-risk area, and if there are no new infections in the medium-risk area for 3 consecutive days, it will be reduced to a low-risk area.
2. Medium-risk areas: Areas such as work and activity places where cases and asymptomatic infected persons stay for a certain period of time and may have the risk of epidemic transmission.
Prevention and control measures: People do not go out of the area, staggered peak pick-up.
Release conditions: It will be reduced to a low-risk area if no new infections for 7 consecutive days
3. Low-risk areas: Other areas of counties (cities, districts) with medium- and high-risk areas are low-risk areas.
Prevention and control measures: Personal protection, avoid gathering.
People in low-risk areas should have a negative nucleic acid test report within 48 hours when leaving the city. After all medium- and high-risk areas are lifted, counties (cities, districts) will implement normalized prevention and control measures.
