Hefei’s First Self-Driving Public Bus goes Operational

This cute minibus driving slowly on Garden Avenue in Baohe District, Hefei City is Anhui’s first Self-driving public transport.


After more than half a year of preparation , the experience line has completed the road test and now open to the public.

The trial line has a two-way mileage of 15 kilometers and passes through 6 stations, including Zhongguancun Station, Jiugao Station, Chaodong Ying Station, Huayuan Station, Provincial Urban Construction Design Institute, and Daxu Town Government Station.

However, unlike ordinary bus lines, passengers are required to make a reservation before boarding. At present, reservations are not accepted during morning and evening peak hours (8:00-9:00, 17:00-18:00) on weekdays, as it provides shuttle services for employees of enterprises along the route. The bus is available for booking during other times.

It is worth mentioning that no fee is needed during the trial .
