Hefei Issues Notice on Salt Pricing and Hoarding

Recently, due to the impact of Japan’s nuclear contaminated water discharge incident, people have been rushing to purchase salt in some parts of Hefei. On August 25th, the Market Supervision Bureau issued a notice to ensure the stable price order of the salt market and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the people.

The notice indicates that the city’s salt reserve is stable, and salt sales in major supermarkets are normal. The supply of goods is sufficient and can fully meet the market supply. Please do not panic or hoard salt to avoid unnecessary waste.

Salt operators in the city should strictly abide by price laws and regulations such as the Price Law of the People’s Republic of China and the Anti Monopoly Law of the People’s Republic of China, consciously enhance their sense of social responsibility, effectively strengthen price self-discipline management, and consciously maintain good price order. Not colluding with each other to manipulate market prices; It is not allowed to fabricate and spread information about price increases, or hoard and hoard; Do not bid up prices or drive up salt prices.
