As of midnight on March 15, Beijing time, international embassies around the world will resume issuing all visa types to foreigners as confirmed by Xinhua. Of particular note: 10-year visas, including those which were issued before March 28, 2020, are restored to validity.

Notice on Further Adjusting the Visa and Entry Policies for Foreigners coming to China
In order to further facilitate the exchange of Chinese and foreign personnel, it is decided to make the following adjustments to the visa and entry policies for foreigners in China from 0:00 on March 15, 2023, Beijing time:
1、 Restore the entry function of visas issued before March 28, 2020 and still in validity.
2、 Visa authorities abroad will resume the examination and issuance of various visas for foreigners to China.
3、 Port visa authorities shall resume the examination and issuance of various port visas that meet statutory requirements.
4、 Visa-free policies for Hainan, Shanghai cruise ships, Hong Kong and Macao, Guangdong and Guilin will be restored.
