On January 3, the new campus of Hefei Cancer Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was officially put into use as a designated hospital for new crown patients in Shushan District, mainly admitting severe and critical cases of underlying diseases, as well as cases exceeding the medical treatment capacity of primary medical and health institutions
It is understood that Hefei Cancer Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is the only independent tertiary hospital established by the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
The hospital’s new site is located in the northwest corner of the intersection of Anhuishan and Yangqiao Road in Shushan District. The new campus has a construction area of about 80,000 square meters, with 1,000 general beds, 20 standard ICU beds, a total of 32 wards, and 10 laminar flow operating rooms (1 composite operating room).
