The 10 cities with the highest population density are Shenzhen, Dongguan, Shanghai, Xiamen, Foshan, Guangzhou, Zhongshan, Shantou, Zhengzhou, and Wuxi. The population density of the top 8 cities exceeds 2,000 people/km².
