Sri Lanka Promotes Tourism in Anhui

Mr. Lakshitha Pradeep Ratnayake is lighting traditional oil lamps in Sri Lanka.

A tourism promotion of Sri Lanka was held in Hefei, capital city of Anhui Province, November 15. Mr. Lakshitha Pradeep Ratnayake, Consul-General of Consulate General of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in Shanghai, introduced the features of tourism, culture , economy and trade of Sri Lanka to media in Anhui and hoped more Anhui's tourists could go to Sri Lanka.

During the promotion, Mr. Lakshitha Pradeep Ratnayake and representatives of guests lit the traditional oil lamps of Sri Lanka to open mysterious tour in Sri Lanka.

Mr. Lakshitha Pradeep Ratnayake said that Belt & Road Initiative brought an opportunity to Sri Lanka and he hoped that more and more Anhui's tourists could choose Sri Lanka as their destination because Anhui was the hub of Belt & Road Initiative.

It is learned that Sri Lanka boasts rich tourism resources and it is known as a land with everything except snow. At present, 7 cities in China (Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Kunming, Chongqing and Chengdu) have launched direct flights to sri Lanka.

Currently, Sri Lanka implements electronic visa to Chinese tourists and it takes tourists only 2 hours to get the visa.
